NACD Opens Call for Nominations for 2017 NACD Directorship 100

Honorees to Be Recognized at NACD Directorship 100 Gala and in Annual List of Most Influential People in Boardrooms and Corporate Governance


WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the advocate for the profession of directorship, today issued its annual call for nominations for the 2017 NACD Directorship 100. Included in these honors are the NACD Lifetime Achievement Award, the NACD Director of the Year award, and the NACD Directorship 100.

The selection process begins with an open nomination for candidates. Honorees are then selected by an NACD editorial advisory committee and the association's leadership team.

Now in its 11th year, the NACD Directorship 100 recognizes leading corporate directors and governance professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the boardroom through innovation, courage, and integrity. This year's honorees will be featured in the November/December issue of NACD Directorship magazine and acknowledged at a black-tie gala on Nov. 29, 2017, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

Last year's honorees included these outstanding directors:

  • NACD Lifetime Achievement Award winner Richard W. Roedel—chair of Luna Innovations Inc. and director of IHS Markit Ltd., LSB Industries Inc., and Six Flags Entertainment Corp.
  • NACD Director of the Year Donald E. Felsinger—lead director of both Archer Daniels Midland Co. and Northrup Grumman Corp. and also a director of Gannett Co.
