California , Feb. 28, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mountain View, CA – February 28, 2017 – Axiata Digital, the digital services unit of Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata), one of Asia’s largest telecommunications groups, together with its joint venture company WSO2.Telco, a radically new open source digital enablement platform developer, will demonstrate use cases around open APIs for roaming verification and pre-paid top-up notification at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year.
The demonstration will be deployed within the Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) Community Lab. It will illustrate API Management, connectors to key network elements and micro services for rapid service creation.

As a member of TIP, Axiata Digital and WSO2.Telco are lead contributors to TIP’s Application Enablement sub-group with the objective to create a suite of open APIs that will enable rapid application creation on top of Access, Core and Management components of the TIP stack, including existing standard telco APIs and interfaces.
Since July 2016, both Axiata Digital Services Sdn Bhd and WSO2.Telco have been active contributors to TIP, an initiative driven by operators, infrastructure providers, and system integrators that aims to reimagine the traditional approach to building and deploying telecom network infrastructure.
