Euroloan Group PLC appoints Jean-Marc Fandel as CEO of Euroloan SA

Euroloan SA is the Luxembourg base for the future expansion of the Finnish Digital Finance group, specializing in fully automated online and mobile financial services. Jean-Marc Fandel, former CEO of CETREL and MD of Six Payment Services AG (Zurich) joins the group as CEO of the Luxembourg entity Euroloan SA.


The group provides real-time remote onboarding of consumer customers combined with an advanced automated scoring process and instant payments for online, mobile, E-commerce and point-of-sale channels.

Currently active in Finland, Sweden and Poland, the Group prepares for further expansion in the European market. Luxembourg is a hub for digital banking services and offers a ready ecosystem with several advantages for FinTech companies developing internationally. Euroloan SA seeks to establish a regulated entity in Luxembourg for the development and sale of products and services for mobile clients providing real-time help in the management of their current expenses and financial situation.

About Jean-Marc Fandel

Jean-Marc Fandel is an experienced CEO with a track record of repeated success in building and transforming businesses in multiple sectors. His specialties are retail banking, payments, fintech and IT services, based upon a 12 year experience as CEO of CETREL SA, an essential payment facility of the Luxembourg financial center and an IT services provider to banks. He initiated and completed the transformation of Cetrel through a joint venture with Six Payment Services (Zurich) where he also served as a Managing Director for the activities targeted towards the Financial Services Industry throughout Europe. During his tenure, Jean-Marc Fandel grew the cards under management 6fold and diversified the activities into new area, including the creation of Cetrel Securities SA, a subsidiary active in the regtech area.

Jean-Marc Fandel also serves as an independent director, certified by ILA/INSEAD and as an economic advisor for the National Research Foundation on financing start-ups in the ICT. Jean-Marc graduated with a PhD in Economics from HEC Lausanne and is an HBS AMP graduate. He teaches at the Jack Welch College for Business of the Sacred Heart University in Luxembourg a course on “Leading IT & the digital transformation”.
