LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 17, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ:CHDN) in the final couple of weeks of preparation prior to its namesake racetrack’s 143rd Spring Meet and the start of Kentucky Oaks and Derby week events will be ringing the NASDAQ Stock Market Closing Bell in New York City on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
Churchill Downs Incorporated executives William C. Carstanjen, Chief Executive Officer; William E. Mudd, President and Chief Operating Officer; Shawn Bailey, Senior Vice President Business Development; and Brad Blackwell, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, will participate in the ceremony, which will be carried live via satellite on national media outlets and will appear simultaneously on NASDAQ’s big screen tower at its Market Site in Times Square.
Churchill Downs Racetrack, in Louisville, Ky., will open its 2017 live racing season with the venue’s Opening Night celebration on April 29. The 143rd running of the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands are scheduled for May 5 and 6, respectively.
