In April 2017 JSC ''Daugavpils Lokomotīvju Remonta Rūpnīca'' has received an international Energy Management System certificate ISO 50001:2011. Improvements of energy management system allowed to build an effective, international standards-based system that provides not only additional competitiveness of company, but also reduce the company's impact on the environment. Be environmentally friendly always been one of the operation objective which is currently achieved. In frame of creation of Energy Management System special attention was paid to ensure that the principles of sustainable development are observed at all stages of the business.
Together with experts and employees of the company, JSC ''Daugavpils Lokomotīvju Remonta Rūpnīca'' become the one of the first companies in industry which received this certificate.
