no 23/17 Nasdaq Commodities’ response to the potential split of the German-Austrian bidding zone

Currently there is an ongoing discussion about the potential split of the German-Austrian bidding zone.

Nasdaq is assessing the implications of the potential split and have considered several options. The preferred method for Nasdaq Commodities is parallel-listing of German futures contracts settling on the German price only. The legacy Open Interest contracts will be kept and settled against the German-Austrian price.

It is of key importance to Nasdaq that the final decision is made in collaboration and coordination with our members and Nasdaq welcomes all member feedback at this point.
