USHCC Applauds President Trump's Plan to Lower the Corporate Tax Rate

Washington, D.C., April 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The USHCC is strongly encouraged by President Trump’s proposal to significantly cut the corporate tax rate. For too long, small businesses have paid the price of having to comply with an antiquated and globally uncompetitive tax rate – consequently hindering entrepreneurs from unleashing their true economic potential.

Our association also applauds the reduction of the top tax rate assessed on pass-through businesses, including small partnerships and sole proprietorships, to 15 percent from 39.6 percent. An equitable reform of tax rates for all businesses, small and large alike has been long overdue. We are confident that the Administration’s proposal to meaningfully reduce taxes will have a positive impact on our nation’s 4.2 million Hispanic-owned businesses by providing them with additional capital, allowing for them to continue growing and creating jobs.

The USHCC looks forward to working with Congress to advocate for providing our nation’s small businesses with the necessary tax relief, so they can continue creating two-thirds of all new jobs and remain globally competitive in an ever-evolving 21st-century economy.
