CHANGES IN MARTELA’S MANAGEMENT TEAM

Petri Boman has been appointed Martela’s Deputy CEO as of April 28, 2017. He has been employed by Martela and a member of the management team since 2013, being responsible lastly of Customer Supply Management organization and IT. As Deputy CEO he continues in his current role and in addition he will be concentrating on reaching Martela’s strategic targets set for 2018. CEO Matti Rantaniemi continues in his role and will focus on Martela’s future growth and business development. 

VP, Customers and Workplace services, Ari-Matti Purhonen, who has led Martela Lifecycle and sales turnaround, has decided to move to another company. He will continue in his current role until May 31, 2017 after which CEO Matti Rantaniemi will continue in Ari-Matti Purhonen’s role until a successor is found. “I would like to take this opportunity and thank Ari-Matti for his excellent work in Martela Lifecycle strategy and in developing our sales”, Matti Rantaniemi says. “It has been a joy and honour to have participated in Martela’s strategic transformation into workplace specialist during the past four years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their trust, and all Martela employees for the cooperation during the past years. After the turnaround Martela is in a good position in servicing its customers, and with confident and peaceful mind I can now take the  work opportunity offered with another company”, Ari-Matti Purhonen continues. 

M.Sc Mikko Mäkelä has been appointed Vice President, Innovation to Market and member of management team. He will start in his role by August 1, 2017. Mikko Mäkelä joins Martela from Wärtsilä Oyj, where he has worked as Director, Strategy and Business development at Wärtsilä Marine Solutions. Prior to that he has worked in various business development and product management roles in F-Secure and Nokia. In his role Mikko Mäkelä will be reporting to CEO Matti Rantaniemi.
