Second Annual FORTRUST Champions for Children Charity Golf Tournament

Fundraiser to benefit KidsTek and Ronald McDonald House of Denver

DENVER, May 02, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FORTRUST has announced the 2nd Annual Champions for Children Charity Golf Tournament. The charity event will be held on July 17, 2017 at the Colorado Golf Club, a championship course that was named one of the world’s top 10 new courses in 2007 by T&L Golf.

The FORTRUST Champions for Children Charity Golf Tournament will benefit KidsTek and the Ronald McDonald House of Denver. In 2016, the inaugural event raised more than $100k for the children’s charities.

The popular fundraiser is a testament to FORTRUST’s commitment to giving back to the Colorado community. “At FORTRUST, we’re honored to support children’s causes like KidsTek and Ronald McDonald House,” says Robert D. McClary, COO at FORTRUST. “With the Champions for Children Charity Golf Tournament, we have the opportunity to help children and their families in a time of need, as well as support STEM initiatives for kids who are interested in technology.”

"FORTRUST has been a strong supporter of KidsTek for many years,” says Richard Liner, Executive Director at KidsTek. “In addition to financial support, they’ve given their time and expertise to help kids build a future in technology. The Champions for Children Charity Golf Tournament allows others in the Colorado community to join them in supporting children who are interested in technology. This kind of assistance can make a real difference in a child’s life.”

“We are grateful to those who help us serve families in need at Ronald McDonald House of Denver,” says Pam Whitaker, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House of Denver. “The funds raised at last year’s Champions for Children Charity Golf Tournament touched many lives. We’re thankful to FORTRUST and the Colorado community for their continued support.”

Sturgeon Electric will be the presenting sponsor at this year’s event. Sturgeon Electric is FORTRUST’s strategic partner in mission critical electrical distribution systems for their data centers. Sturgeon Electric has been a full-service provider of electrical construction services throughout the Western United States since 1912.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. Participation is open to single and team players.  For more information on the event, see www.ftdc.com/fortrust-champions-for-children-charity-golf-tournament/.
