Radware Attack Mitigation Solutions Help e-Commerce Company Manutan to Ensure Uninterrupted Service to Its Customers

MAHWAH, N.J., May 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radware® (NASDAQ:RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions, today announced that French-based Manutan, a subsidiary of The Manutan Group, uses Radware’s Attack Mitigation Solution (AMS) to ensure high-availability of its IT infrastructure. Manutan chose Radware’s comprehensive solution, including SSL attack mitigation, Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Hybrid Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack mitigation, which includes a subscription to cloud protection services.

Established throughout Europe as one of the largest business-to-business providers of industrial and office equipment and supplies, Manutan services more than one million customers. Manutan’s e-commerce platforms drive most of its business these days.  The company’s business therefore relies on web-services availability as well as virtualized phones and faxes, which remain key tools for the trade.

Manutan faced a growing number of DDoS attacks. The company needed a solution that could prevent hackers from leveraging possible zero-day breaches in its e-commerce platform. Manutan decided to deploy a mitigation solution that would provide minimum latency, complete coverage against the full spectrum of attacks, and minimum human intervention. Manutan chose Radware’s AMS to support its e-commerce platform, enterprise resource planning (ERP), telephony, and e-mail systems.

“Low-latency is mandatory in the e-commerce field. Surveys demonstrate that most visitors of a website will bounce if a page is not loading quickly enough. At the very least, frustration leads to lower conversion rates,” explains Eric Thierry, CISO at Manutan. “Using advanced behavioral analysis technology, Radware’s AMS quickly and accurately mitigates malicious traffic without any downtime. Where most providers simply route all the traffic to their cloud services, Radware’s AMS sets fully automated policies that route the traffic to the mitigation systems only when there is an attack. Their powerful machine learning, combined with their hybrid mitigation solution allows us to get the best of both worlds— minimum human intervention and maximum peace of mind—  and it allows our customers to benefit from top performance.”

“Companies in the retail sector are facing great pressure to protect their websites and provide high-availability and excellent response times to their customers,” said Roy Zisapel, President and CEO at Radware. “Slow performance leads to actual commercial penalties, from conversion rates to brand perception. For this reason, businesses can’t afford to go down, and with the pace of attacks increasing, they need automated DDoS mitigation solutions that can handle the most massive strikes.”
