Amega Marketing Solutions, one of Wilmington NC’s top marketing firms, recently attended a corporate sponsored conference in Newport Beach, CA to enhance their management and training skills. The conference, held quarterly, aims to gather both experienced managers and newly promoted managers together for both a networking and learning experience.
Javen Jenkins, Director of Operations at Amega Marketing Solutions, described the conference as an educational experience that he’ll take with him into the rest of 2017. The educational tools the conference focused on were overall business management, management of people, entry level training, management training, and branding/public relations.
Attending conferences like these are what Jenkins and the team at Amega Marketing Solutions attribute their rapid growth to.
“We [the management team at Amega Marketing Solutions] couldn’t have picked a better time to join this conference,” said Jenkins when asked about the company’s participation in the conference. “We started 2017 off strong with a new promotion and I want to keep the momentum going. We’re going to use the information that we’ve gathered here and take it back with us to make sure we continue to move forward and grow as a team.”
Newly promoted Assistant Director, Dante Murchison, is excited about the growth he’s seen with the company and within his professional career since joining the team in December 2016. The graduate from Michigan’s Northwood University holds degrees in business, entertainment sport promotion, and music industry management; so his success within the company and recent promotion to management comes as no surprise.
When askedwhat he enjoyed about his career with Amega Marketing Solutions, he immediately spoke of his passion for helping others grow within the company.
“As a mentor, my favorite part is looking back with someone on their first day in the office and comparing it to where they are now. The look of excitement and pride on their face when they realize how much they’ve grown is my favorite part of my position. I love that I get to help people get to where they want to be,” said Murchison.
Motivated by the recent promotion, Account Manager at Amega Marketing Solutions, Jimmy Monroe, says that he is currently pushing for a promotion of his own and is confident that he can handle the extra responsibility the position will come with.
“I’m ready to take on whatever they can throw at me,” said Monroe on the premise of his promotion. “My work ethic combined with the training that I’ve received is going to help me reach my personal and professional goals. For now, I’m going to concentrate on being the best manager I can be for my team and keep pushing myself to get better. I know my hard work will pay off and I’ll get to where I want to be soon.”
Jenkins stated he too believes that if Monroe continues to perform at the standard he’s set, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t reach his goal of Assistant Director within the next few weeks. According to the Director of Operations, the company’s core values are based off of the upward mobility and unlimited growth opportunities that they offer.
“We only promote from within as opposed to looking for outside hires when we need more leadership in the organization,” explained Jenkins. “We find that it’s better for our clients, our business development, and most of all, our team when there are opportunities available for advancement.”
As the second quarter comes to a close, Jenkins is motivated to grow and expand the company in order to provide services to their clients in other markets. Based off of the growth he’s seen so far, he is hoping to promote another five team members before the year is over.
“Our clients’ needs are constantly growing, so we need managers to help lead new projects and to bring new ideas to the table,” said Jenkins. “I’m motivated to grow and I’ll willing teach anyone that has a drive to learn.”
