Auto-Graphics Releases Enhanced Inter-Library Loan Functionality with Latest Release of SHAREit™, the Industry’s Leading Resource Sharing Solution

SHAREit User Group Drives Auto-Graphics Resource Sharing Enhancements

ONTARIO, Calif., July 26, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Auto-Graphics, Inc., the Industry-leading and first Web-based library resource management solutions provider, is pleased to announce that an update to its industry-leading resource-sharing solution, SHAREit, took place on July 11, 2017.

This latest SHAREit release contains many enhancements and new functionalities that continue to fine-tune the capacity of SHAREit to improve service to end-users by opening collections between different types of libraries, extending patron discovery, and improving material access.  This increased access to materials has the added benefit of reducing acquisition costs along with costs associated with third-party lenders.

Currently in use by 14 states to handle unmediated, cloud-based resource-sharing, SHAREit product development is primarily driven by enhancements requested and voted on by the active SHAREit User Group, chaired by Sunni Nishimura, Manager of the BC Electronic Library Network, which has been a satisfied Auto-Graphics resource sharing customer since 1990.

The SHAREit user group meets 4 times a year to share information, discuss new functionality ideas, share insights, and vote on the enhancements they would like to see in their resource sharing system.  The next user group meeting is set for this September.  “As a former SHAREit user, I can vouch for the value of the SHAREit User Group.  Nearly all SHAREit users attend our meetings to collaborate and discuss our resource sharing experiences and ideas for making SHAREit even better,” states Deborah Hensler, SHAREit Product Manager for Customer Services. “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead this engaging and dynamic group of resource-sharing visionaries.”
