Washington, D.C, Aug. 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U.S. Conference of Mayors President and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu today issued the following statement supporting communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey:

“Our hearts are with the families and communities in Texas, and across the Gulf Coast, impacted by the ongoing destruction of Hurricane Harvey. Mayors across the country stand ready to support Houston and surrounding cities, towns and counties of Texas as they keep their communities safe and begin the recovery and rebuilding process after the storm passes.  We are confident that these cities will be resilient and emerge determined, stronger and more united as they rebuild.”
