Industry leader in pediatric resuscitation solutions expands team to support rapid growth

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 05, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pediatric Emergency Standards, Inc., a leading technology platform in pediatric emergency medical care, announced that Corey Ricketson has joined the company as Executive Vice President.

Ricketson’s move to Handtevy comes during a pivotal time of fast growth and development for the company. Since inception, Handtevy’s focus has expanded significantly beyond the clinical aspects of pediatric resuscitation into integrative software technologies for both EMS and hospitals nationwide. The mobile platform has been praised for arming healthcare providers with a full system of care to treat pediatric emergencies through customized dosing tools, real time documentation, and electronic health record integration. Ricketson will concentrate on the hospital segment of the business, which has gained tremendous momentum over the past year.

“We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Corey’s caliber join our team,” said Allison Antevy, President and CEO of Handtevy. “His passion for emergency pediatric care is contagious, making him a perfect fit for our mission. Corey’s wealth of clinical knowledge, coupled with his extensive operational experience, will be a tremendous asset as we continue our work to improve emergency care for critically ill and injured children.”

“The Handtevy team is laser focused on improving outcomes for pediatric patients, both in the field and the hospital,” said Ricketson.  “Unlike anyone else, they understand the clinical issues and have been able to integrate a technological solution that providers on the front lines absolutely love. This system saves lives and it’s something I wanted to be a part of.”

Ricketson started his EMS career 22 years ago as a paramedic with Williamson County EMS and rapidly climbed the ranks within Austin-Travis County EMS. For the past 9 years, Ricketson served as a Senior Manager at ESO Solutions, Inc, where he specialized in sales and training for EMS and fire. His passion for emergency pediatrics started during his career as a paramedic, following a pediatric internship at the Children’s Hospital in Austin. Once Ricketson was introduced to the Handtevy System, he instantly knew it would transform the healthcare landscape and improve the standard of care for children. Ricketson’s vision, passion and experience make him a perfect fit for a company, whose mission is to save the lives of critically ill and injured children worldwide.
