Roegge plans for Atlantic Capital to become one of the leading SBA lenders across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions through recruitment and innovation--specifically, processing loans more quickly and committing capital for business leaders.
“My career has been devoted to helping small businesses gain access to capital for growth by being a true cash flow lender,” Roegge said. “I’m excited to expand the reach of Atlantic Capital across the southeast and its efforts to help small businesses bank in the right direction. I was drawn to Atlantic Capital by their strong track record of innovation and expertise in business lending.”
Roegge has been working within the SBA industry since 1997. From Zions Bank, Wells Fargo, Community South Bank and Advantage Capital Partners, he has cultivated experience in credit underwriting, business development, sales and division management.
Before his new position with Atlantic Capital, Roegge was SBA Team Lead for SunTrust in Raleigh, North Carolina. He managed 20 business development officers from Ft. Lauderdale to Maryland. He also spent four years at Advantage Capital Partners, a private equity firm, working with New Market Tax Credit program. During his 20 years in the industry, Roegge has developed or managed more than $1 Billion in new loan production using the SBA 7a, SBA 504 and USDA loan programs.
Kurt Shreiner, Atlantic Capital Bank EVP of Corporate Financial Services, said Roegge would be key in helping small businesses across the Southeast expand.
“At Atlantic Capital, we look for bankers who bring a deep knowledge and expertise to their line of business,” Shreiner said. “Jeff is a proven leader when it comes to SBA lending. He knows how to customize solutions to fit the needs of growing businesses.”
Roegge, who served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm, is also an endurance athlete, finishing the Ironman triathlon eight times and three ultra-marathons. He lives with his wife and two kids in Cary, North Carolina, outside Raleigh.
