“As a New Yorker, I have been tremendously inspired by the impact Garden of Dreams has made in the community and I was proud to join their advisory board recently and wanted to help in any way I could,” said O.A.R. lead singer, Marc Roberge.   “Our band has always prioritized giving back, and performing in front of 2,500 Garden of Dreams kids will be one the coolest things O.A.R. has ever done.  Once we agreed to put on a show just for the kids, we realized we could also hold a fundraiser to follow later that same evening and do even more great work for these New York area children. O.A.R. along with Gavin, Darryl, Adam, Robert and Nate are all excited to make a lasting and impactful impression on the Garden of Dreams Foundation.”

“We are thrilled to curate this first-of-its-kind unique concert experience for the Foundation alongside Marc, who has fully jumped into this and has worked tirelessly to help make this vision become a reality,” said Barry Watkins, chairman, Garden of Dreams Foundation.  “Marc’s enthusiasm and willingness to help secure some of the industry’s most talented artists to perform in not only an amazing show for the children, but also for the fundraising concert to follow that evening, will help create an unforgettable musical experience.  We are so grateful to have Marc and O.A.R. alongside all the musical guests, who have graciously lent their time and talents to support of the Foundation’s efforts in brightening the lives of thousands of children in our community.”

Concert for Dreams will be another successful fundraising event that the entertainment division of The Madison Square Garden Company will deliver for Garden of Dreams. This concert will be held every other year alternating with the bi-annual all-star comedy benefit, Garden of Laughs. Garden of Laughs launched in 2013 with shows in 2015 and most recently 2017, which featured the comedic talents of Leslie Jones, Sebastian Maniscalco, Tracy Morgan, John Oliver, Chris Rock, Bob Saget and Jerry Seinfeld and hosted was by Steve Schirripa.  All three Garden of Laughs performances were sold-out and together raised nearly five million fundraising dollars – making Garden of Laughs the most successful fundraiser for the Foundation in its decade-long history. We expect that Concert for Dreams will produce the same success for the children and Foundation.
