New Infographic Shines a Light on Automation Horror Stories

FOSTER CITY, Calif. , Oct. 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LogiGear, a world leader in software testing solutions, today announced that it has released a new infographic pointing out some of the more notable test automation incidents that its readership has seen, just in time for Halloween, called “Automation Horror Stories.”

LogiGear notes “these horrific events have been recounted by real-life testers.” The content for the infographic was derived from answers submitted to LogiGear’s state of software testing survey series.

Some of the happenings in the infographic include:

  • A division head asking for automation tests to run unattended overnight.  When the survey takers’ team refused and an unrelated offshore team started the task, the electrical circuitry was ruined and had to replaced
  • Testers that move on and are not replaced- meaning no testing
  • DevOps regarded as a meaningless buzzword
  • Selenium research not worthy of a management response
Management that focuses on the speed of the release rather than the quality of the product
