“Lisa has a great depth of knowledge of the long term care, social housing and community support services sectors. Her thoughtful, intelligent and passionate ideas for sustainable and quality services for seniors will be of great support to our members,” says Jane Joris, AdvantAge Ontario Board Chair. “We are very excited to welcome her to the Association.”

Ms. Levin was most recently the Director of Nursing and Health Policy with the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO). Before working at RNAO, Lisa was the Principal Consultant with Lisa Levin and Associates, where she worked with community agencies on strategic planning, integration and family caregiver supports. From 2011 to 2016, Lisa was the Chair of the Ontario Caregiver Coalition (OCC) that advocates for family caregivers across the province. She received a Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee medal in 2012 for her work leading the OCC. From 2005 to 2015, Lisa was a senior executive with Circle of Care – a home health care and community support services agency.

Prior to that, she was a policy advisor for 16 years in different ministries of the Ontario government including Housing; Community and Social Services; Health and Long-Term Care; and Children’s Services. Lisa has her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Systems/Geography from McGill University and her Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto. An avid community volunteer, she sits on the Advisory Committee of Neshama Hospice, and on the Genetic Discrimination Advisory Committee with the Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs.

“I am excited to apply my knowledge and passion of non-profit services for seniors to support AdvantAge Ontario members and Ontario’s aging population during this exciting time of transformation in Ontario’s health care sector,” says Levin.
