Associa Community Management Corporation Managed Community Wins Community of the Year Award

Chantilly, VA, Dec. 12, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa Community Management Corporation (CMC) managed community, Creekside Village HOA, wins Community of the Year from the Land Development Council of the Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA).

The award recognizes development professionals who provide superior and creative development projects that are sensitive to the community and make appropriate use of the existing natural elements.

"These awards represent high standards of site planning and engineering and showcase innovative technologies that enhance community sustainability, improve resiliency and advance sustainability," stated Lori Graf, Maryland Building Industry Association CEO.

Creekside Village is a 161-acre residential development project that consists of 820 lots and 208 apartments. Atapco Properties believes in leaving as little impact on the environment as possible. In doing this, the apartments were certified as NAHB Bronze by the National Green Building Standard and Creekside's clubhouse earned LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Often described as 'resort-style' living, the resident amenities include a 24-hour clubhouse with exercise facilities, a business center, an outdoor pool with beach entry and splash pad, a dog park, a community park, playgrounds, and walking trails - all surrounded by lush landscaping and a welcoming atmosphere. Creekside Village was thoughtfully designed and developed as a place where neighbors can come together for special events throughout the year.

“Associa Community Management Corporation is immensely proud that Creekside Village was recognized by the MBIA for its outstanding community sustainability,” stated John Tsitos, Associa Community Management Corporation president. “The community’s unwavering commitment to environmentally friendly living has been recognized by the Land Development Council with this prestigious award, and we are happy to be part of the team.”
