Cloud Logistics Announces Record Revenue, Growth and Innovation for 2017

West Palm Beach, Fla., Jan. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cloud Logistics, the provider of one of the most innovative Transportation Management Systems (TMS) in the supply chain software industry, starts 2018 on a high note with tremendous market momentum after a record-growth year in revenue, network volume and new customer additions. These successes position the company to continue to innovate, create more freight savings and take market-share in 2018.

The surest measure of progress is customer adoption and success.  2017 saw network volume through Cloud Logistics TMS increase by nearly 2.5x, marking the second consecutive year of impressive ramp-up of shipment volumes. Freight spend within the network grew at an even faster rate, as a number of extremely large truckload shippers joined the network of Cloud Logistics customers. And with that high growth rate of network traffic, monthly recurring revenue nearly doubled in 2017. This is attributed to both new customers as well as existing clients expanding their use of the TMS across their organizations. New customers in 2017 came from a wide range of industries and geographies, including food manufacturing, building products, third party logistics and retail. In late 2017, Cloud Logistics also added their first APAC region shipper to the family of customers.

One new customer is TMCO-Op, a logistics service provider with a focus on pharmaceutical manufacturing along with other industries. Tony Sneed, Managing Partner, said, “As our relationships have become more strategic with our customers, they have asked us to add to our capabilities. Providing a best-in-class TMS for our clients’ use is the natural next-step for our company. Our customers will love the modern user-interface along with the integrated social networking features.”

One of the major appeals of the solution is easy adoption by carriers and 3PLs using the Carrier Portal.  Cyprian Bernas, Account Manager for King of Freight, said “I was first introduced to Cloud Logistics by a new shipper I landed on a Friday afternoon, I was able to get set up in the cloud within 10 minutes, taking an additional 15 minutes to learn how to use the system. Cloud Logistics has an intuitive interface modeled around social media. This is a game changer for any shipper and I highly recommend it.”

Cloud Logistics built on its reputation for outstanding product innovation with five new releases of the TMS in 2017.  Clients regularly praise the frequent and seamless upgrades of the solution and 2017 was no exception. Notable highlights and new features include:

  • User configurable and customizable Workbench
  • Automated and manual assignments of ‘owners’ to a delivery
  • Reporting and alerting of carrier insurance, including disabling a carrier with expired insurance
  • Mapping improvements to better display GPS-based tracking data
  • Certified interfaces with benchmark data services, such as those offered by DAT and Truckstop.com
  • Enhanced ‘customer’ role for use by 3PLs and their clients
  • A highly flexible rate quote tool for further ‘what-if’ scenarios

“2017 was a banner year in many ways for Cloud Logistics,” said Mark Nix, Founder and CEO of Cloud Logistics.  “We not only continued to add many small-to-midsized shippers (some of whom were Same Day TMS implementations), but we also deployed our TMS to four different companies with revenues in excess of $13B. This is validation that an easy-to-use TMS can be valuable to companies of all sizes.”

Looking ahead, 2018 is setting up to be an even better year. Based on current pipeline visibility along with planned existing customer growth, doubling subscription revenue is a very realistic goal. New innovations are already in the development queue, including a next-generation manual planner to help small shippers identify consolidation opportunities as well as a new carrier assignment optimization algorithm designed to help shippers thrive in today’s capacity-constrained environment. Lastly, as the impacts of the December 2017 ELD mandate settle in, the relationship with Konexial and the formal launch of the GoLoad matching service should begin to bear fruit.
