Fort Collins, Colo., Jan. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LaunchNo.CO, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing and supporting entrepreneurship and small business in Northern Colorado, announced details surrounding its inaugural event, PitchNo.CO, a pitch competition for companies operating in Larimer and Weld counties. The event is being hosted and supported by LaunchNo.CO in conjunction with Fort Collins Startup Week.

Northern Colorado’s premiere competition showcasing new companies, PitchNo.CO aims to help companies of all kinds take the next step in their growth. Selected companies will pitch to at least three different panels of expert investors and judges, who will provide feedback and professional advice on their pitch and growth plans during the Feb. 27 and 28 event. Participants will compete for $17,500 in total prize money and numerous different prize packages.
“Northern Colorado is home to so many innovative and brilliant companies,” said Jana Knapp Sanchez, LaunchNo.CO’s executive director. “Events like this really highlight all of the cool things happening in the northern part of our state and provide these companies a unique opportunity as well as the guidance they will need to succeed, helping ensure all participants receive maximum value from the event.”
To prepare for the competition, participating companies will receive several weeks of support prior to the competition. From experts in business development to speaking coaches, financial experts, marketing experts and others, PitchNo.CO offers participants the opportunity to work with experts, honing their presentation and preparing for the showcase.
To apply for the competition, companies must:
- Operate in Larimer or Weld county
- Be in business less than five years
- Make less than $500K per year
- Pay the $50 application fee
- Be available Feb. 27 and 28 during Fort Collins Startup Week
Companies do not need to be technology startups to participate — a bakery, for example, that fits the criteria may certainly apply. The event aims to showcase companies that will help create the future economy of Northern Colorado.
