HOUSTON, Feb. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GulfMark Offshore, Inc. (NYSE:GLF) announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Marcos y Asociados Infraestructura y Energia SC (Marcos y Asociados) through a Mexican joint venture entity, GulfMark Servicios de Mexico, S de R.L. de C.V. with an aim of expanding business activities in Mexico.
The joint venture, which is majority Mexican owned, will provide Mexican and foreign flagged Offshore Support Vessels (OSV’s) to GulfMark’s Mexican customer base, which has been expanding since the company began operations in Mexico in 2005.
Marcos y Asociados, established in 1995, is a financial consulting and business development firm specializing in the Mexico energy industry with an active presence in the sector. The firm’s executive team has deep industry knowledge and expertise anchored by over 30-years of involvement in the oil and gas, financial, and power sectors in Mexico.
With representation in Mexico City and Ciudad del Carmen, GulfMark Servicios de Mexico, will provide OSV services from the GulfMark fleet of high specification, technologically advanced vessels to the highest standards of Health, Environmental, Safety, Quality (HSEQ) and Operational performance using experienced and highly skilled local mariners and shore side support staff.
