Six Sophos Executives Recognized as 2018 CRN Channel Chiefs

Michael Valentine, SVP, Worldwide Sales, and Kendra Krause, VP, Global Channels, Named on Top 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs List Once Again

BURLINGTON, Mass., Feb. 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sophos (LSE:SOPH), a global leader in next-generation network and endpoint security, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named six Sophos executives to its prestigious list of 2018 Channel Chiefs. The executives on this annual list represent top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving growth and revenue in their organization through channel partners.

Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community, and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2018 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.

Channel Chiefs from Sophos are Michael Valentine, senior vice president of worldwide sales; Kendra Krause, vice president of global channels; John Keenan, vice president, Americas; Erin Malone, vice president of North America channel sales; Scott Barlow, vice president of global MSP sales; and Allison Clarke, director, global channel programs.

These executives have been recognized for their focused dedication to the success of Sophos’ partners through the implementation of the following Sophos programs and channel readiness for product launches:

  • Sophos’ Cloud Security Provider program (CSP). A first of its kind in the industry, the CSP program offers partners a new business model to help them take advantage of the cloud with innovative security technology, reliable vendor training, support, and financial incentives
  • Sophos’ Channel Influence Community. Comprised of a diverse set of global partners, the community allows Sophos and its partners to share feedback on a regular basis, enabling Sophos to make the best decisions to benefit its channel partners and determine business direction
  • Launch of Sophos XG Firewall, which delivers a breakthrough in network traffic visibility with Synchronized App Control. Using Synchronized Security to obtain information from the endpoint, XG Firewall can identify, classify and allow the control of all previously unknown applications active on the network
  • Launch of the new version of Intercept X next-generation endpoint security, which was enhanced with deep learning and advanced anti-exploit and anti-ransomware technology

For the third consecutive year, Michael Valentine has been selected to CRN’s Top 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs list, along with Kendra Krause, who has been recognized for the second consecutive year. Both Michael and Kendra’s accolades come as a result of their professional achievements, leadership in the IT industry and enthusiasm for spurring future growth and innovation in the channel partner community.

“The executives on CRN’s 2018 Channel Chiefs list stand out for their exceptional leadership, vision and commitment to the channel,” said Robert Faletra, Executive Chairman of The Channel Company. “These individuals deserve special recognition for their development and support of robust partner programs, innovative business strategy and significant contribution to the overall health of a vigorously growing channel. We applaud each Channel Chief’s impressive record of accomplishments and look forward to their future successes.”

"Sophos remains 100 percent committed to the channel with our channel best strategy. We don’t take success for granted, and we continue to work in partnership with our community to drive our combined business achievements,” said Michael Valentine, senior vice president of worldwide sales at Sophos. “Sophos’ position as a leader in the channel industry comes as a result of our significant investment in and commitment to innovation. From the integration of deep-learning technology into Sophos Intercept X to the roll out of initiatives like our Cloud Security Provider program, Sophos is changing the way the channel and IT managers think about security and defend against today’s sophisticated threat landscape.”
