Creative Spirit to Host Exclusive Fundraiser Screening of ‘Ready Player One’ Featuring Q&A With Janusz Kaminski

Non-Profit Raising Money and Creating Employment Opportunities for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities


LOS ANGELES, March 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Creative Spirit, a non-profit organization that creates integrated employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities (IDDs), today announced it will be hosting a fundraiser event featuring an exclusive screening of Steven Spielberg’s hotly anticipated new film, Ready Player One. The event will include an intimate Q&A with Academy Award-winning Janusz Kaminski – the film’s highly acclaimed cinematographer -- also known for his work on blockbuster films such as Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Catch Me If You Can, Lincoln, Bridge of Spies, The BFG, and The Post.

To coincide with Ready Player One’s global release date, the private screening will take place on Thursday, March 29 and will be followed by cocktails at Hal’s Bar and Grill at 9.30PM PDT. Proceeds will go directly to Creative Spirit -- the first global organization dedicated to matching individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the best creative organizations in the world. Moderated by Pete Favat, Chief Creative Officer of creative agency, Deutsch, guests will experience a rare and compelling discussion with Kaminski on his cinematographic vision for the film, which was based on the 2011 debut science fiction novel by Ernest Cline. The conversation will also touch on his experience working alongside Spielberg on this and other films (including Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan), as well as his impressive 30+ year career creating some of the most recognizable and beloved films in modern cinema.
