ARCADIA, Calif., April 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SAFNA Engineering and Consulting (SAFNA) announced today that it has added two senior professionals to the company’s staff of program and project managers. Mr. Jose A. Molina, a water and sewer systems expert, comes to SAFNA as a program manager for public infrastructure projects, a primary focus of the company’s business. He will be joined at the company by Mr. Sayeed Shaikh, a financial professional who will work as a project manager on SAFNA’s contracted facility projects in the Southern California region.
Mr. Molina has over 30 years of experience in the planning, design, and operation of major potable water and sewer facilities, most recently as Operations Director and Program Manager for the Sativa Los Angeles County Water District. Mr. Molina also held several positions with the City of Lynwood, CA, where he managed several city departments in engineering, facilities management, street improvements, and street lighting. Mr. Molina is certified as a Grade 5 Water Distribution Operator and a Grade 2 Water Treatment Operator by the State of California Water Resources Control Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the California State University, Los Angeles.
Mr. Shaikh is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience in project management, cost control, and implementation of financial systems for a variety of firms in Southern California, including Parker and Lynch, Southern California Edison, Kaiser Permanente, and Monoprice (a Blucora Company). He has demonstrated success in the areas of end-to-end ERP implementation, financial analysis (cost accounting, forecasting, and budgeting), and risk management (including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance). Mr. Shaikh holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of La Verne, La Verne, CA. He also has done post-graduate research in Applied Economics at the University of Karachi.
