Key Milestones

A substantial milestone was the inclusion of FileZilla Pro in the Mac Apple Store, which now accounts for approximately two-thirds of total sales. FileZilla Pro’s expanded feature set provides Web developers and designers file access and transfer abilities across growing number of network and Cloud protocols that include:

  • Google Cloud Storage
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Services
  • WebDAV
  • Amazon S3 (extended)

FileZilla Pro relies on its active users who have submitted requests that helped shape feature development and enhancements. A recent questionnaire revealed FileZilla customer loyalty status as "promoters", scoring an impressive 9.5 out of 10.

"FileZilla has been distributed for free under an Open Source license for over 15 years, when we decided to sell a pro version we didn’t expect to sell 25K copies so fast!" said Roberto Galoppini, FileZilla Director of Strategy, reflecting on the past year in"Selling Free: FileZilla Pro First Year in Review" https://filezillapro.com/selling-free-filezilla-pro-first-year-in-review/ .
