Details-at-a-Glance

What: This summer, more than 150 children living in poverty will soon have the opportunity to learn about and engage with technology – many for the first time in their lives.

Thanks to a first-of-its-kind partnership between Jamf and MATTER, students attending Hope School in Cite Soleil, Haiti will receive a completely customized shipping container designed as a 21st century classroom.

The Innovation Pod, outfitted with solar power, is a hub for learning and using technology. Each of the pod’s five collaborative workspaces include an interactive display powered by Apple TV. While in the unit, every student and teacher can access an iPad. Students at Hope School will use a variety of apps, such as Swift Playground, Duolingo and Khan Academy, to gain access to a diversified library of content to complement every student’s interests and learning style.

Who: Jamf Global Education Evangelist Dave Saltmarsh will be onsite in Phoenix Park to lead tours of the pod and share details of the initiative.

When: The unveiling will take place on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. CT. The pod will be open to the public during the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series on Thursday nights through July 12.
