VANCOUVER, Wash., Aug. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- nLIGHT, Inc. (NASDAQ: LASR), a global leader in industrial fiber lasers, today announced the introduction of a new compact 3kW fiber laser. Previously available at 2kW and 2.5kW, the latest model leverages ongoing advances in pump diode technology to add 20 percent more output power while maintaining the industry’s most compact fiber laser format.
“These fiber lasers deliver the highest power available in the smallest size,” states Jake Bell, General Manager for Industrial Lasers. “This gives end users a considerable advantage in shop floor utilization while incorporating the latest technologies for laser processing performance, reliability and serviceability.”
The company also announced that its rack-mounted fiber lasers are available at higher power and in a smaller package. Available with output powers from 500W to 1.5kW, nLIGHT rack-mounted fiber lasers now deliver 25 percent more power in a form factor 15 percent smaller than previous models.
These new nLIGHT fiber lasers join the rest of the company’s high-power fiber laser portfolio with output power up to 8kW and share the same market-differentiating features.
