The Top 100 Green Design Firms in 2017 generated $6.21 billion in design revenue as a group from projects registered with and actively seeking certification from third-party ratings groups under objective sustainable-design standards, such as the USGBC’s LEED standards. For the group, this revenue is a 3.7% increase from the $5.99 billion in 2016. Domestically, green design revenue rose 3.7%, to $5.01 billion, in 2017, from $4.83 billion in 2016. The Top 100 had $1.20 billion in revenue from green projects outside the U.S. in 2017, up 2.9% from 2016.
