Aura Minerals Announces First Shipment of Concentrate at the Aranzazu Mine


ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands, Oct. 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aura Minerals Inc. (TSX: ORA) is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned Aranzazu mine located in Zacatecas, Mexico has completed its first shipment of copper concentrate on schedule. 

Rodrigo Barbosa, the Company’s President & CEO commented, “We have built a high-performance team at Aranzazu that is encompassed in our new management standards and procedures and is meeting all our goals.  We are very pleased to complete an additional milestone at Aranzazu and expect to declare commercial production on time and within budget.

The Company continues to further progress on the underground mine development and operational improvements to the plant.  Construction of the new tailings disposal system (TD5) is expected to be completed this year.
