DALLAS, TX, Nov. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
Tickets are on sale now for Kiss Hunger Goodbye, a special event benefitting the North Texas Food Bank. This Guinness World Record breaking attempt will take place at Klyde Warren Park on December 2, 2018 from 1- 3 p.m. and is organized by Jingle Bell Mistletoe: a group of friends who sell mistletoe during the holidays to raise money for the North Texas food Bank, to feed hungry families in our community.

In order to break the Guinness World Record for Most Couples Kissing Under the Mistletoe, the kids of Jingle Bell Mistletoe are calling all couples- 18 years of age or older - to purchase their tickets and be ready to pucker up. Entry for the event is $25 which includes mistletoe and a chance to be part of the record for Most Couples Kissing under the Mistletoe. The event will feature special guests including emcee Meredith Land of NBC 5, as well as entertainment by DJ Lucy Wrubel.

“The Mistlecrew is really excited to launch a special event to help the Food Bank,” said Stella Wrubel, 13-year-old founder of Jingle Bell Mistletoe. “Breaking a Guinness World Record will be amazing, but what our team is most excited about is making sure that hungry kids across North Texas have the food that they need.”

This passionate group of young Food Bank supporters have set an ambitious fundraising goal this year: help raise $70,000 to benefit the North Texas Food Bank. In addition to Kiss Hunger Good Bye, the kids will also be selling mistletoe at various locations across Dallas during December.

“The drive and passion that these young people have for the mission of the Food Bank is so inspiring,” said Trisha Cunningham, President and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank. “What makes the Mistlecrew so special is their enthusiasm and their creativity. Each year they make new goals and top their efforts, and 2018 is no different! We are thrilled to now have a Guinness World Record attempt in our honor and I know this caring fun-loving community will come together and beat the world record!”
