USHCC Delegation Attends the Inauguration of His Excellency Andrés Manuel López Obrador

WASHINGTON, D.C., Dec. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) was honored to attend the Inauguration of His Excellency Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of the United Mexican States on December 1st. The USHCC delegation invited to Mexico City included Chair Carmen Castillo, President and CEO Ramiro Cavazos, and Chief of Staff Richard Garcia.

At the 2018 USHCC National Convention in Philadelphia, PA, the USHCC hosted Dr. Graciela Márquez Colín, the newly appointed Secretary of the Economy for Mexico. This engagement provided USHCC Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs) and Corporate Partner Members (CPMs) with the opportunity to connect with the incoming administration and discuss policy between the United States and Mexico that will impact the Hispanic business community.

The USHCC is committed to working with President López Obrador on mutual goals that will boost economic success in the region. We support the incoming administration’s efforts to support workforce development through youth education, address crime and corruption, empower small businesses, and trade internationally under the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to represent the USHCC at the inauguration,” said Carmen Castillo, USHCC Chair of the Board. “The Hispanic-owned businesses that we represent depend on a strong economic relationship with Mexico. We look forward to working with Mexico’s new administration to continue to develop this relationship and empower businesses on both sides of the border.”
