SmashFly Reports Continued Momentum in 2018

Enterprise Recruiting CRM and Recruitment Marketing Leader Welcomes 16 New Clients, Launches New Products and Opens Belfast Hub

CONCORD, Mass., Dec. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Enterprise recruitment marketing technology leader SmashFly Technologies today announced its third quarter 2018 results. Since July 2018, the company has added more than a dozen new clients and made significant product announcements, including a new Career Site Content Management System (CMS) and digital recruiting assistant, Emerson™. During this time, SmashFly also opened a new strategic engineering, sales and marketing hub in Belfast, Northern Ireland to support its growing global customer base.

The wide range of companies turning to SmashFly to accelerate their talent acquisition programs includes Amgen, Comerica Bank, Constellation Brands, Cox Enterprises, Faurecia USA Holdings and VCA, in addition to both a Fortune 500 insurance and financial services company.

“With all the different tasks our Talent Acquisition team struggles to complete every day, we needed to find a technology partner to take something off our plate. SmashFly is exactly what we were looking for to help us achieve our lofty efficiency goals and reduce the administrative workload for my team, especially around career site management and sourcing and nurturing in the CRM,” said Adrienne Myrand, Director of Talent Acquisition & Management Development, North America at Faurecia, a global leader in automotive technology.

Nathaniel Bennett, Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer & Head of Talent Acquisition at Comerica Bank, shared, “The battle for talent remains fierce, and at Comerica Bank, it is important that we live up to ‘Excellence,’ which is one of our core values. It was imperative to find the best partner to help us compete for talent not only today but many years in the future. SmashFly provides us at Comerica Bank a competitive advantage in talent attraction innovation, consultation and the right connections to all of the partners in this space.”

AI, GDPR and New Career Site Content Management System

To answer the needs of busy recruiters and the expectations of high-touch talent, SmashFly launched Emerson, the first AI recruiting assistant fully integrated into a Smart CRM, in August. Emerson fuels the career site experience, interacting with career site visitors and event attendees by prompting them to engage and ask questions and alerting recruiters to jump into the conversation if a high-priority, qualified candidate expresses interest. Fully integrated with SmashFly’s Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) solution, Emerson automatically creates a new contact record – and tracks every conversation – in a single system of record, building pipelines of interested talent who might have otherwise dropped out of the loop, lessening the administrative burden on recruiters.

Launched in September, SmashFly’s new Content Management System (CMS) for Career Sites helps talent teams deliver better career site experiences for prospective candidates. Its simple, drag-and-drop design means recruiters can add and update pages and edit copy and images in real-time with no coding experience. By eliminating the need for external resources or additional budget to make easy career site decisions and changes, SmashFly’s CMS saves teams time and money while ensuring recruiting teams can be agile, operating more like marketers.

SmashFly’s most recent product update includes a marketing-grade CRM Email Campaign Editor that features a drag-and-drop template builder, making it easy to visualize new campaigns from scratch without any HTML skills. The Email Editor also features improved segmentation functionality that allows recruiters to target the right audience for their campaigns by fields in candidate profiles. In the current competitive landscape, it’s critical to be able to quickly and proactively market to top talent where they are – and this new campaign builder gives recruiters the confidence and ease to do so.

Rounding out the third quarter product announcements is an intense focus on GDPR compliance, being managed from the new Belfast hub. “Belfast affords SmashFly the opportunity to build our global brand, add enhanced support and service for the global customers we serve, and reach new customers in the U.K. and wider European markets,” said Thom Kenney, SmashFly CEO. “Our Belfast team will lead critical initiatives around artificial intelligence and machine learning and put us closer to European legislation so that our team is ahead of the curve in creating world-class technologies that define the future of talent acquisition.”

According to Jason Cerrato, Senior Director, Research Analyst, HR Tech & Transformation for Gartner Research & Advisory, Tight labor markets are exposing the weaknesses of traditional talent acquisition approaches… The digitization of talent acquisition technology, coupled with evolving and in-demand skill sets across talent pools, have combined to change and challenge traditional recruitment practices… The top investment priority for talent modernization is spending to captivate and connect with passive and potential candidates.”
