APOLAN to Bring Passive Optical LAN Advocacy and Education to BICSI 2019 Winter Conference & Exhibition

The Association for Passive Optical LAN’s 2019 event line-up will include the annual APOLAN award ceremony, members meeting and pre-conference training


NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BICSI Winter Conference 2019 booth #534 - The Association for Passive Optical LAN (APOLAN), the non-profit organization driving both education and adoption for passive optical LANs (POL), today announced it will showcase POL’s growth and opportunities at the BICSI 2019 Winter Conference & Exhibition taking place at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando on January 20-24.

APOLAN’s "Fundamentals of Passive Optical LAN" pre-conference training seminar:

APOLAN and member companies, CallisonRTKL and ITConnect Inc., will host the “Fundamental of Passive Optical LAN” annual training seminar 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20. This opportunity provides an overview of the value, architecture, design and powering considerations for a POL. In addition to learning the fundamentals of this technology, attendees of the training will have a full design to delivery understanding of a POL network. Attendees that complete the one-day seminar will receive six Continuing Education Credits (CECs). Seminar registration can be completed at the BICSI 2019 Winter website.

APOLAN Annual Members’ Meeting and APOLAN Awards Ceremony:

APOLAN will hold its annual member meeting in conjunction with the BICSI Winter Conference. The event, open to all member companies, will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 in breakout room Sarasota 1, located inside the convention center. The 2018 APOLAN Award winners will be announced at a ceremony, honoring member companies that have embraced the Association’s mission to educate and advocate the global adoption of passive optical LANs.
