On-demand user insights platform names Tom Burg SVP of Marketing, Kyle Langenbach VP of Product

NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alpha, the on-demand user insights platform for management teams to make data-driven decisions about products, users and new markets, today announced the appointment of Tom Burg as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Kyle Langenbach as Vice President of Product Management. The new hires expand the company’s leadership bench as it sets its sights on business growth and product development in the new year.

“The additions of Tom and Kyle to our leadership team will help guide the transformation of our marketing and product departments as we continue growing throughout the year ahead,” said Thor Ernstsson, Chief Executive Officer at Alpha. “Refining our product is at the core of Alpha’s mission and these new hires will drive that as we work to enhance the customer experience by enabling continuous testing and iterating.”

Burg comes to Alpha with a proven track record of success with top-tier, high-growth companies and a strong background in strategy creation, product marketing management, branding and messaging. As SVP of Marketing, he aims to refine Alpha’s marketing program, delivering results that will show how organizations of every size can take advantage of experimentation. Prior to joining Alpha, Tom was the COO of Berlin-based ShareIQ, where he built the US business and global operations until the execution of a sale to Cision in July 2018. He brings nearly two decades of experience working for some of the world's leading internet and marketing technology companies, including marketing leadership roles at DoubleClick, Google, Akamai, Criteo and Turn.

In his new role as VP of Product, Langenbach is responsible for setting product strategy, establishing a roadmap and driving the product forward. Previously head of product at Warner Music, Langenbach created the first-ever consumer platform to enable indie musicians to distribute and promote their music. He has several years of experience with companies like Microsoft, where he was a director for their emerging products team, as well as serving in senior roles at Ernst & Young and PwC.

According to Alpha’s annual Product Management Insights Report, the biggest wish for product managers at enterprise companies is for more opportunities for experimentation. As members of the leadership team, Burg and Langenbach will strengthen Alpha’s ability to enable these opportunities with the best tools and resources to build innovative products and services.
