Publishers Clearing House Earns the TAG “Certified Against Fraud Seal,” Rising to Platinum Status in its Mission to Combat Advertising Fraud and Deliver Transparency

NEW YORK, March 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Publishers Clearing House (PCH), a leading direct to consumer entertainment and shopping destination, today announced that they have been awarded the TAG Certified Against Fraud Seal from the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG). The certification for the advertising initiative highlights the company’s continued efforts toward thwarting ad fraud and prioritizing transparency for all of its clients and partners. In addition, TAG has designated the company a Platinum Status member – an elite group of companies who have earned all four of TAG’s seals.

“TAG Platinum Status recognizes that in its commitment to anti-fraud and transparent business practices, Publishers Clearing House has met the requirements and taken the necessary steps to ensure that its digital advertising operations fully deliver on that commitment,” said Mike Zaneis, CEO of TAG. “This designation is TAG’s highest order, and we are thrilled to commend the company for its work to counter fraud, malware, piracy, and the industry’s pervasive lack of transparency.”

“We're pleased that our aggressive efforts in fighting fraud and piracy are being recognized," said Andy Goldberg, Chairman & CEO of Publishers Clearing House. “It is our priority to maintain a brand-friendly environment without the risk of ad fraud. As a digital company, this certification is a key recognition, adding another layer of value and assurance to the clients we serve.”

To meet TAG’s certification and ensure industry-wide compliance, Publishers Clearing House completed several certifications including Anti- Fraud, Anti-Malware, Inventory Quality (OQG) and anti-piracy. In complying with each of these standards, Publishers Clearing House joins an elite group of companies that have received all four certifications.

“We congratulate Publishers Clearing House for taking the additional steps of third-party assurance to TAG’s established standards,” said Richard Murphy, BPA Worldwide's Executive Vice President of Technology Assurance. “With their compliance to these industry guidelines, they will enjoy a significant competitive advantage in the digital marketplace by providing an extra level of assurance for buyers that their business partners fully comply with these important initiatives.”
