James E. Wagner Cultivation Corporation Receives Cultivation Licence and Commences Cultivation Activity at JWC 2

KITCHENER, Ontario, April 01, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- James E. Wagner Cultivation Corporation (“JWC” or the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE: JWCA; OTCQX: JWCAF), is pleased to announce that it has commenced cultivation activities at its second facility located at 530 Manitou Drive in Kitchener, Ontario (“JWC2”).  As previously announced, the Corporation received its cultivation licence (the “Licence”) in respect of JWC 2 from Health Canada on March 29, 2019.

“With the addition of the JWC 2 facility to the GrowthSTORM™ Dual Droplet System production footprint, JWC is now one of the largest aeroponic growers in the world. I am proud of the efforts of our entire organization; and I am proud to say that within only 24 hours of receiving the Licence, 50% of our flowering rooms were full and active, and thousands of plants have populated the facility,” said Nathan Woodworth, President & Chief Executive Officer of James E. Wagner Cultivation.

The Licence is issued in respect of Phase 1 of the construction of JWC 2. At full-scale, JWC2 measures 345,000 sq. ft. and is expected to be fully equipped with the Corporation’s GrowthSTORM™ Dual Droplet System. The proprietary GrowthSTORM™ Dual Droplet System is a cultivation system that uses two separate nutrient solutions, delivered through two distinct channels, all housed within a single enclosure.

Immediately upon receipt of the Licence, the team at JWC began a variety of cultivation and production activities at JWC 2. Four of the eight flowering rooms and vegetative space in Phase 1 of JWC2 are now in full production with a variety of strains of cannabis plants transferred from the Corporation’s pilot facility, JWC1. The Corporation expects that over time, forty-three (43) new strains of cannabis will be introduced for production at JWC2.

The team at JWC is eager to provide an extensive collection of clean, consistent, aeroponically-grown cannabis strains and products to both the medical and recreational markets, in addition to the products it currently offers.
