WOW! Unlimited Media’s “Costume Quest” Featured in L.A. Times Review

TORONTO and NEW YORK, April 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Costume Quest, the latest animated series produced by WOW! Unlimited Media’s Frederator Studios, was recently reviewed in the L.A. Times article titled, “Reviews: ‘Costume Quest,’ ‘Victor and Valentino,’ ‘Lazor Wulf,’ smart cartoons for young and/or old.”  The show, WOW!’s first project for Amazon Studios, debuted on Amazon Prime Video on March 8.

Based on the video game series by Double Fine Productions (Psychonauts, Broken Age) and the world originally created by Tasha Sounart, Costume Quest is a funny and mysterious animated series aimed at six to 11-year olds (and of course older fans who love the video game).  The show stars four kids facing off against the dark forces lurking in the shadows of their sleepy town of Auburn Pines. To overcome obstacles and achieve their goals, they must learn to unlock and master the magical powers of supernormal costumes—with each costume is a new set of transformations and powers.  Reviewed by Robert Lloyd, the article praises the series, stating that it “starts well and gets better, growing looser and more poetic,” while noting the detailed animation and “fresh” writing.

Costume Quest is executive produced by Will McRobb (The Adventures of Pete & Pete) who also serves as story editor, as well as Frederator Studios’ Fred Seibert (The Fairly OddParents), Kevin Kolde (Adventure Time) and Eric Homan (Adventure Time).
