HashiCorp Wins Google Cloud Technology Partner of the Year for the Developer Ecosystem

Announced at Google Cloud Next ‘19, the Award Recognizes HashiCorp’s Achievements within the Google Cloud Developer Community

SAN FRANCISCO, April 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HashiCorp, a leader in multi-cloud infrastructure automation software, today announced that it has received the 2018 Google Cloud Technology Partner of the Year for the Developer Ecosystem. Google Cloud presented the award at Google Cloud Next ‘19 in San Francisco.

“We’re delighted to recognize HashiCorp as the 2018 Google Cloud Technology Partner of the Year for the Developer Ecosystem for their innovative work on behalf of Google Cloud customers over the past year,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, corporate vice president, global partner ecosystem at Google Cloud. “Our ecosystem of partners is driving tremendous innovation, and HashiCorp’s solutions in cloud infrastructure automation are a great example. We’re proud to provide this award to HashiCorp and look forward to continue building together.”

HashiCorp has partnered closely with Google Cloud to make it easy for developers and IT operators to provision and secure cloud infrastructure. HashiCorp Terraform, HashiCorp’s tool for provisioning and managing infrastructure, offers a dedicated provider for services available on Google Cloud. Through the partnership with Google Cloud, operators can trust that Terraform supports new Google Cloud services either at launch or within days after. For securing that infrastructure, HashiCorp Vault offers integrations for generating dynamic credentials, leveraging Google Cloud Identity & Access Management (IAM) as a trusted identity source, and tightly controlling access to sensitive data and secrets.

Throughout 2018, HashiCorp and Google Cloud released a number of collaborative projects aimed at helping developers to get started with Terraform and Vault on Google Cloud Platform. At HashiConf, for example, Google Cloud announced new enhancements to the documentation for the Terraform Google Cloud Provider called Open in Google Cloud Shell, co-presented a session about Magic Modules, and introduced a new Vault secrets engine for Google Cloud Key Management Services (KMS) during the closing keynote. Additionally, Vault 0.10 introduced a number of Google Cloud specific features helping developers feel confident that their infrastructure is secure.

“We want to make it easy for developers and operators to make the most of Google Cloud as a key part of their cloud adoption efforts,” said Burzin Patel, vice president of worldwide alliances at HashiCorp. “Google Cloud has been an excellent partner in helping us deliver on that mission. We’ve been working closely with Google Cloud since 2013 and look forward to building on this partnership to deliver more tools and services to our users and customers in the future.”

HashiCorp is in booth S1511 in the Moscone South Expo Hall at Next ‘19.
