Major New Housing Development Launches Just Outside Guelph, Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo

A Brand New 1000 Unit Subdivision by Thomasfield Homes in Breslau, Ontario

GUELPH, Ontario, April 10, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Thomasfield Homes is launching its largest mixed use development, and the largest in Woolwich Township with its first model homes opening on Saturday April 13th. Hopewell Crossing, the name of the community, features over 1000 residential units, commercial areas, a planned public school, office and industrial areas as well as plans for Waterloo Region’s only suburban GO Train Station.

“We are very excited for this great addition to the region, it has been a tremendous amount of work together with Woolwich Township and the Region to get to this point” says Tom Krizsan, president of Thomasfield Homes. “Housing is required in the region, and many families have connections between Guelph, Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo, and Breslau being right in the centre makes it an ideal location for them to call home.”

The first early release of Hopewell Crossing will consist of 22 single detached lots and 23 freehold street townhomes. Later in the year, Thomasfield hopes to finish servicing another section of Phase 1, for an additional 64 single detached lots. Prices start at $449,900 for street townhomes and $562,900 for single detached, with closings scheduled for fall of 2019.

“This community is going to be perfect for families” says Ciro Gucciardi of Peak Real Estate, one of the sales representatives for Hopewell Crossing. “Thomasfield Homes has an exceptional reputation, and this site is unlike any other, with a true live-work-play planning approach. You can do shopping and potentially work next door, while your kids will be able to walk to school through community trails…and one day you’ll be able to walk to the GO station to get to downtown Toronto and most of Southern Ontario.”

Thomasfield Homes is celebrating its 41st year in business, and was awarded 2018 Homebuilder of the Year by the Guelph and District Homebuilder’s Association. Last year it won Gold in the Homebuilder category in the KW Record Readership Awards.
