Say Goodbye to HDMI: New Ditto Tech is the Key to a Wireless Workplace

NORTH CANTON, Ohio, April 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Squirrels LLC today released all-in-one workplace screen mirroring technology that eliminates cables, adapters and unreliable tech from the places people meet.

Four major product updates to Ditto, the company’s wireless presentation software, make it compatible with the most commonly used technology including macOS, Windows, Android, iOS and Chrome OS devices. New updates include:

  • Ditto Connect for iOS
  • Ditto Connect for Android
  • Ditto tvOS Receiver
  • Ditto Windows Receiver

Squirrels CEO and co-founder Andrew Gould said these Ditto updates allow people to focus on what’s important during meetings, classes and presentations instead of troubleshooting technology.

“Screen sharing is supposed to be the easy part,” Gould said. “People have enough to worry about at work. Cords, adapters and restrictive screen sharing technology add stress and waste time. Ditto makes screen sharing really simple so people can focus on their jobs instead.”

Ditto users now have one cohesive way to wirelessly present iOS, macOS, Windows, Android and Chrome OS devices to a number of receiver types.

“Ditto sets itself apart from other screen mirroring technology in two ways,” Gould said. “It’s compatible with all of the most common devices used today. The second, and perhaps most important, is that it works with a number of receiver types. You don’t need to purchase an expensive piece of hardware from us to use Ditto.”

Ditto Connect for iOS
The Ditto Connect app for iOS connects an iPhone or iPad to a Ditto receiver. Simply enter a room code in the app and the iOS device will wirelessly display on the receiver.

Ditto Connect for Android
The Ditto Connect app for Android connects an Android device to any Ditto receiver, including Apple TV. Simply enter a room code in the app and the Android device will wirelessly display on the receiver.

Ditto tvOS Receiver
The Ditto tvOS Receiver turns an Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD into a Ditto receiver that’s capable of wirelessly displaying Windows, Android, macOS and iOS devices. Organizations can add custom branding to the receiver to give it a personal, familiar look.

Ditto Windows Receiver
The Ditto Windows Receiver is capable of wirelessly displaying iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. Admins can also enable Chrome OS mirroring. Additional Ditto Windows Receiver features include:

  • Screen mirror multiple devices simultaneously
  • Deploy Ditto Windows Receiver to displays
  • Apply custom branding
  • Multitask on the receiver while mirroring

Error-free connections
Ditto provides error-free connections no matter how many Ditto receivers are deployed on an organization’s network. Users simply enter a room code and Ditto automatically connects them to the appropriate receiver.

Works on restrictive corporate networks
Devices can connect to Ditto receivers even on restrictive corporate networks that block multicast DNS (mDNS) discovery.

Additional Ditto receivers
Existing Ditto receiver capabilities  — Apple TV 2, Apple TV 3 and Chromecast – remain unchanged.
