TOMMI LEHTONEN APPOINTED GROUP CEO OF ROBIT PLC
Tommi Lehtonen (b. 1970), M.Sc. (Eng.) has been appointed Group CEO of Robit Plc. Lehtonen starts in his position on 1 May 2019.
Lehtonen has long experience in the mining and construction industry.
Before joining Robit he has been working in Metso Minerals Inc. in the following positions: Head of Mining Business Line, China, India, Asia Pacific 2016 – 2017, Senior Vice President for Crushing and Screening Business Line 2014 – 2015 and President for Mobile Crushing Business Line 2012 – 2014.
Lehtonen joined Robit in January 2017 and has worked as Down-the-Hole Business Unit Leader and as Executive Vice President since January 2018.
“We believe that Lehtonen’s knowledge in mining and construction industry and long experience in sales and sales management as well as his experience working in a listed company in top management positions give him good basis to guide Robit back to profitable growth company, says Harri Sjöholm, Chairman of the Board.”
With this appointment Robit wants to emphasize the sales focus in the company’s strategy and strengthen the global presence in the drilling consumables business segment.
