DataMotion Named Gold Sponsor of Inaugural DirectTrust Summit

WASHINGTON, May 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DirectTrust is pleased to announce DataMotion as a Gold Sponsor of the inaugural DirectTrust Summit which will be held in Atlanta, GA, June 10-11.  DirectTrust is a non-profit healthcare industry alliance created to support secure, identity-verified electronic exchanges of protected health information (PHI) between provider organizations, and between providers and patients, for the purpose of improved transitions of care, care efficiency and coordination, patient satisfaction and reducing healthcare cost.

"We are honored to have DataMotion serve as a Gold Sponsor of our inaugural summit,” said DirectTrust President and CEO Scott Stuewe. "DataMotion is a long-standing, valued member of the DirectTrust network. We appreciate their support as well as their ongoing commitment and dedication to improving interoperability of healthcare information exchange and ultimately patient care.”

Over 80 EHR, HIE, integration engine and mHealth app providers have integrated with DataMotion™ Direct, and many rely on DataMotion as trusted software for their ONC certification for Meaningful Use and other related CMS incentive programs.

“Our participation in DirectTrust started before HHS/ONC awarded the organization its governance status in 2013,” said Bob Janacek, CEO of DataMotion, “so it’s highly appropriate that DataMotion is helping to spearhead the inaugural DirectTrust Summit, and the organization’s next phase as a pre-eminent nationwide health information network.  The term interoperability network is claimed by many, but few have the scale and trust infrastructure to deliver.  Through educational outreach like the inaugural Summit, we’re confident that stakeholders in clinical data sharing will recognize that the nationwide federated trust network enabled by DirectTrust and its accredited organizations represents the foundation of modern clinical data exchange.”

The inaugural DirectTrust Summit will be held June 10-11 at the Marriott Suites Midtown in Atlanta, GA.  The two-day event brings health care industry leaders together to share ideas and best practices around improving health information exchange and interoperability. Genevieve Morris, founder of Integral Health Strategies, will deliver the keynote address. Morris previously served as the Chief Health Information Officer for the VA’s Office of EHR Modernization on a detail from HHS, where she served as the Principal Deputy National Coordinator for Health IT at ONC.
