New Products Extend Longview’s Leadership in Providing Easy, Accessible, Secure IoT Solutions to Enterprises Worldwide

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and AUSTIN, Texas, May 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Longview IoT, a Carnegie Technologies company, today announced significant additions to its comprehensive Internet of Things (IoT) solution, including an enhanced version of the Longview IoT LoRa gateway with multiple frequencies for coverage worldwide, a new gateway specifically designed for indoor environments, and a wide range of new sensors to support a growing list of enterprise IoT use cases. The new solutions will be showcased at Internet of Things World 2019 (Booth #840) May 13-16, 2019, in Santa Clara, California.

Today’s fragmented IoT market—in which enterprises are forced to stitch together products and platforms from multiple vendors to form a complete solution—is risky for many companies. Although IoT adoption is growing, with the IoT Barometer from Vodafone reporting that 34 percent of enterprise organizations have deployed IoT, it’s still too difficult for enterprises to evaluate, purchase, deploy and gain ROI from an IoT solution.

Longview breaks the mold of traditional IoT offerings, delivering a comprehensive, technologically superior IoT solution that includes interoperable sensors, gateways, cloud analytics and industry-specific applications that come pre-configured for simple installation. Longview IoT helps companies quickly and easily reduce costs and increase efficiency with its IoT solution. Longview’s new product lineup will help it extend its leadership position in enterprise IoT. The new additions include:

  • A new version of the Longview IoT Gateway, which offers increased power output and supports both the 800 MHz and 900 MHz frequencies to cover several additional regions, including Europe, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia, in addition to North and South America. The Longview IoT Gateway is a wide-area networking device that creates LoRaWAN connectivity for sensors and other IoT components.
  • The Longview IoT MicroGateway, which is an affordable indoor LoRaWAN gateway that quickly creates a high-speed 900 MHz LoRaWAN IoT network. With its small form factor and flexible power and connectivity options, the MicroGateway is a seamless addition to office, residential, factory or warehouse environments.
  • A range of new Longview IoT Sensors, including two new push button sensors, a temperature and humidity sensor, a leak sensor, a fill sensor, a motor sensor, and an air-quality sensor, which allow Longview IoT to support a broad range of IoT use cases across vertical markets, from asset tracking to site and equipment monitoring to safety applications.

The Longview IoT Solution builds on top of the LoRa protocol, extending its capabilities with technologies such as Longview IoT’s patented Super-B protocol that allows for more scalable networks and over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, meshed gateways that drive lower operations costs, and hybrid GPS for better location with less battery usage.

“The Longview IoT Solution is the only complete, end-to-end IoT solution engineered specifically for enterprise scalability, security, reliability and performance,” said Brad Bush, managing director of Longview IoT. “These additions to our product portfolio build on Longview IoT’s mission of making IoT easy, accessible and secure for all enterprises worldwide.”
