Visionstate Introduces WANDA QuickTouch, an Internet-of-Things Button Device

EDMONTON, Alberta, June 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Visionstate Corp. (TSX-V: VIS) (“Visionstate” or ‘the Company”) is pleased to introduce WANDA QuickTouch, a new product derived from its WANDA Internet-of-Things solution. WANDA QuickTouch is a battery-powered button device that leverages the LTE-M cellular network, reducing infrastructure requirements and expanding WANDA’s reach.  The IoT button provides Visionstate with the ability to connect remote restrooms to the solution by enabling basic alerts, cleanings and ratings.

“When the button is pressed, a similar alert is generated as from a standard WANDA unit capturing time and location of the event. When the button is pressed for a second, it will generate a service event, as if a cleaning staff member had signed into a WANDA unit. This captures time, location and a cleaning event. The hardware incorporates a button provided by AT&T using the LTE-M network and sends an event through the AWS One-Click service,” commented John Putters, CEO.

The solution is particularly attractive to large facilities with multiple restrooms. While WANDA is usually installed in high-traffic locations, the IoT buttons such as WANDA QuickTouch are well-suited for more remote restrooms and common areas. The IoT button still provides vital analytics on alerts and cleanings back to building managers, making WANDA QuickTouch both practical and affordable for a wider range of locations.

Other use-case scenarios include using a series of three or more buttons for customer satisfaction ratings. This has the advantage over existing rating systems based on no required infrastructure (mounting, power, connectivity). 

The IoT button device greatly expands Visionstate's reach by introducing more cost-effective technology to track basic cleanings, alerts, and customer satisfaction.
