MARC PRITCHARD JOINS VITAL VOICES GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP BOARD OF DIRECTORS

P&G’s Chief Brand Officer Marc Pritchard Joins the Vital Voices Board After a Lifelong Commitment to Building an Inclusive Media Landscape

Washington, DC, July 30, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vital Voices Global Partnership is proud to announce the addition of Marc Pritchard, Chief Brand Officer for Procter and Gamble (P&G), to its Board of Directors effective June 2019. Pritchard joins the Board following his recognition with the Vital Voices Solidarity Award, honoring remarkable men who have shown courage and compassion in advocating on behalf of women and girls around the world, in December 2018.

“We are honored to welcome Marc to our dynamic Board of Directors,” said Vital Voices President and CEO Alyse Nelson. “Our Board’s leadership is the guiding force behind our work to empower women leaders around the world. Marc’s pursuit of a gender-inclusive and gender-equal world, his commitment to changing the narrative around women’s representation in media, and his work advocating on behalf of women and girls through the brands in one of the world’s biggest consumer companies make him an invaluable source of knowledge and experience for us to draw from as we take our organization to the next level.”

As the Chief Brand Officer for P&G, Pritchard has fueled the company’s marketing and advertising strategy with a belief that brands can provide high-performing products while also being a force for good. Under Pritchard’s guidance, P&G has championed diversity and equality by using the voice of P&G brands in advertising to promote gender equality, and launched several initiatives to fuel gender inclusivity such as the Queen Collective, an effort to accelerate gender and racial equality behind the camera.

In addition to his work with P&G, Pritchard is a staunch advocate for inclusivity in the advertising industry. As the newly appointed co-chair for the Association of National Advertisers’ #SeeHer Initiative, Pritchard is helping to drive the movement’s worldwide expansion, which includes adoption of the successful Gender Equality Measurement tool to measure advertisements for gender bias in 14 countries.

“It is an honor to be chosen to serve on the Vital Voices Board of Directors, because it is important for men to step up and join forces with women to take action to advance gender equality,” said Marc Pritchard, P&G Chief Brand Officer. “While progress is being made, there is so much more we need to do individually and collectively to be agents of change and ultimately push beyond the tipping point to achieve gender equality.”
