PRESS RELEASE
14 August 2019
Aéroports de Paris SA
July 2019 traffic figures
In July 2019, Paris Aéroport welcomed 10.5 million passengers, an increase of 1.3% compared with July 2018. 7.4 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+3.9%) and 3.1 million through Paris-Orly (-4.2%). This weak growth is linked to the reducing of the flight schedule in Orly by the airlines, these ones anticipating the limitation of movements due to the closure of Orly main runway, runway 3, which happened last 28 July.
- International traffic (excluding Europe) was up (+2.1%), due to growth in the following destinations: Latin America (+6.2%), North America (+5.0%), the French Overseas Territories (+1.3%), Africa (+0.8%), the Middle East (+0.1%). The only destination down is Asia-Pacific (-0.9%);
- European traffic (excluding France) was up by 1.8%;
- Traffic within France was down by 2.2%;
- The number of connecting passengers increased by 7.2%. The connecting rate stood at 19.9%, up by 1.0 points compared with July 2018.
Since the beginning of the year, Paris Aéroport passenger traffic has increased by 4.2%, with a total of 62.9 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers has risen by 10.5%. The connecting rate stands at 22.3%, up by 1.3 points.
Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 46.1%-owned by Groupe ADP, decreased by 34.4% in July 2019 and has decreased of 25.9% since the beginning of the year(1).
