Translate Bio Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock


LEXINGTON, Mass., Sept. 17, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Translate Bio, Inc. (Nasdaq: TBIO), a clinical-stage messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics company developing a new class of potentially transformative medicines to treat diseases caused by protein or gene dysfunction, today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of $90 million of its common stock. Translate Bio also intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of common stock sold in the public offering. All of the shares are being offered by Translate Bio.

Citigroup, Jefferies and SVB Leerink are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. The offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
