MIPS Technologies Selects Fabiotec as a Software Consultant for the Israel Market

Company to Support Region's Rapidly Growing Base of MIPS Licensees

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 28, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MIPS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for digital consumer, home networking, wireless, communications and business applications, today named software services provider Fabiotec as a software consultant for MIPS(R) products and technology in the Israel market. MIPS Technologies will provide Fabiotec engineers with the assistance, hands-on training and tools required to support the rapidly growing number of Israel-based MIPS licensees in every phase of their SoC design cycle.

For MIPS licensees, Fabiotec offers expertise in device drivers, system bring-up, CPU system software and more. The company has already completed a number of consulting agreements with MIPS licensees, including software development projects for the MIPS32(R) 4KE(R), 24K(R) and 34K(R) cores.
