Diamond Drill Core Rubble

Diamond Drill Core Rubble

Photo 1. Diamond drill core rubble from hole RVD21-001 collared on the G1 gravity low target, interpreted to be a volcanic diatreme breccia pipe. Upper Photo: Ten metres from surface; fine (~1mm), deep red oxidized sulfide grains of pyrite/arsenopyrite disseminated in decalcified and clay altered limestone host and typical of Carlin-style gold mineralization. Lower Photo: from 103m to end of hole; chaotic, brick-red gossan-cemented angular breccia with mixed fragments of dark silicified carbonate and epithermal style quartz veins, indicative of a deep volcanic source.
